 Mundeli Chauraha is a Village in the northern part of Khatima. It is often referred to as the "Backword Village" (literally "Land of the Social Workers")^[26] due to numerous Hindu temples and pilgrimage centres found throughout the Village. Mundeli Chauraha is known for the natural environment of the Temples, City, Khatima and Kumaon, with a total of 13 districts. The winter capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradun, the largest city of the state, which is a rail head. On 4 March 2020, Gairsain, a town in Chamoli District, was declared the summer capital of the state.^[28] The High Court of the state is located in Nainital.
